We work predominantly in animation across television, commercials, music videos, short films and title sequences. We are looking to recruit a highly talented and motivated individual to lead our 2D department. Responsibilities will include – - working closely with animation directors to prepare pitch images and designs - working with our producers and studio manager in scoping, scheduling and budgeting projects - producing 2D and 3D animatics alongside animation directors - assembling teams of artists and then leading and working on projects as they progress through the studio You will need a strong commitment to advancing the quality of finish of all work through the Nexus studio and the energy, ideas and application to work with our other lead artists in pushing the creative and technical aspects of our work to new heights. You will be have all the qualities needed to lead teams of artists, ideally with experience of heading 3D as well as 2D teams. You will have a strong background in animation, visual effects and compositing, and a detailed working knowledge of Nuke, AfterEffects and Combustion. This should extend into scripting in both Nuke and AfterEffects. Ideally you will also have experience of shoot preparation and supervision.
